The other day strolling through the gardens of the Charlottenburg Palace, I watched these graceful ducks in the pond, how they landing and taking off. It was fantastic, and I decided to share with you.

There are many references to Mallards in the world of art and literature.

The Mallard is depicted in a marginal decoration of the 15th century English iluminated manuscript the Sherborne Missal.
The children´s picture book Make Way for Ducklings, published in 1941 and winner of the 1942 Caldecott Medal for its illustrations, is the story of a pair of Mallards who decide to raise their family on an island in the lagoon in Boston Public Garden in Massachussetts
Sens,  Pigs have been the subject of inspiration for many painters of all times. Now they have inspired me.
